Walter "Peanut" Davis the Giles County boy, man, myth, and legend born on June 14, 1964 has crossed the sky on November 4, 2025 to join his Grandparents, Monroe and Catherine Saunders; his Mother Mary Saunders; Father Walter Stump; Sister, Drema Saunders; and his Brothers David Saunders and Danny Davis.

Peanut was a lover of fishing, trucks, and his women. The true definition of hold my beer kind of guy. From football with the boys, to throwing up dust from them ole dirt roads, to giving his shirt off his back to someone in need. When it came to Peanut, you never knew the internal fights he was fighting until you could hear the song he was playing. His passion and love of music was passed down to everyone who knew him.

Those he leaves behind will look for him in the Purple Rain: companion, Sheila East Stodder of Dublin; sisters, Beatrice Davis of Giles, Datyel Giles, Diana Adkins (Randy), Pamela Stump, and Victoria Stump; son, Brandon Davis (Christina); grandsons, Trenton, Bryson, and Haydon of Christiansburg; daughter, Meagan Davis (Michael Fleeman); granddaughter Madisyn; grandsons Michael and Makade of Salem; several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews; and tons of family and friends. Although, to be his friend you were family. His special little buds: Ryleigh "Reed" Miller of Dublin, Wrangler Cadle of Covington, Ethen and Maelynn East of Dublin. Peanut loved these babies and they brought him so much joy as the younger generation of his family. Also, his life-long friend but more like a brother; Darren Palmer of Giles

There will be a private celebration of life at a later date. In the lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Walter's name to St. Jude’s Medical and Research Institute. A guestbook is available to send condolences to his family and friends by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Davis family.
