Walter William Davis Sr., 88, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1937 in Acosta, Pennsylvania to Harold and Nora (Philson) Davis.
He grew up in Acosta, PA and graduated from Bosewell Joint High School in 1956. After graduating he joined the Navy. He was stationed at Olathe Navel air station and served 6 years.
He met Doris J. Swain at Whistling Wheels Skating in Shawnee, KS and they later married in August of 1957. He served as District Governor of the Lions Club and enjoyed wood working.
Walter is survived by his loving wife, Doris "Judy" Davis, sons, Chuck (Rosemary) Davis, Allen (Lucia) Davis, and Walter Jr. (Theresa) Davis, as well as numerous grand and great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Davis and Nora Davis, and siblings, Curtis Jay Davis, Harold Joseph Davis, and Sandra Lee “Davis” Singo.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Gardens at Creekside, 16110 W 133rd Street, Olathe, KS 66062.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Walter’s memory be made to the Veteran’s Affairs.
