Walter E. Decker, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on November 28, 2024, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States. He was born on January 4, 1932, to Frank Decker and Mary Matula. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Richard and sister Karen.

Walter married the love of his life, Ruth Keeler, in 1958. Together, they raised three children: Edward (spouse Noreen), Gary (spouse Bonnie), and Kirk (spouse Amy). Walter also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Walter attended Allentown Central Catholic High School and later went on to work at Bethlehem Steel, where he dedicated 39 years of service. In addition to his career, Walter ran the family farm in Weaversville and served proudly in the Army National Guard.

Walter had many hobbies, including traveling with his wife to destinations such as Alaska, Malaysia, Australia, Hawaii, and embarking on many road trips across the USA. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as spending quality time with his family and friends at his cabin in the Pocono Mountains. He thoroughly enjoyed the company of his sweet tweety bird, Ernie the cockatiel.

Walter Decker will be remembered for his love of adventure, his dedication to his family, and his generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. One of Walter's favorite sayings was "Never be afraid to be Great!"
