Walter Lee Dickerson Jr., age 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was born on December 23, 1953, to the late Walter Lee Dickerson, Sr., and Lula B. Stirtmire.
Walter will be remembered for his warmth, strength, and the love he shared with family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Walter was baptized 35 years ago and accepted God as his Lord and Savior, walking faithfully in his belief throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lee Dickerson Sr., and his mother, Lula B. Stirtmire.
Walter is survived by his loving children, Shawna Dickerson and Marvin L. Hill; three (3) cherished grandchildren; and five (5) adored great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Marvin (Pearl) Dickerson, Lula Dickerson, Deborah (Robert) Quisenberry, and Buddy Jones, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will hold his memory close.
Walter’s memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
