Walter L. Doiel Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025.
He was born September 4, 1934, to the late Walter and Colleen (Fuller) Doiel Sr., in Rock Port, MO. Walter served in the Army National Guard and retired from the Council Bluffs Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Doiel; sons, Paul "Greg" Doiel and Patrick Doiel; sister, Marjory "Sue" Wells; brother-in-law, Donald Flynn; nephew, Mike Flynn.
Walter is survived by his children, Shelly (Mike) Kelley and Cindy (P.J.) Schulze; sister-in-law, Pat Flynn; grandchildren, Tessa, Ashley, Kerry, Spencer, Dwayne, Victoria, Kyle, and Nathan; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Inurnment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
