WALTER D EMERSON
November 6, 1945 ˜ February 15, 2025
Walter Dennis Emerson, 79, of La Center, WA., passed away Feb. 15, 2025. He was born to George and Malvina Emerson in Portland, OR.
Walt attended Hudson Bay High School and served in the USMC, 1962-1966. He worked for the Bonneville Power Administration as a painter, construction worker and prior to retirement in 2005, was a warehouseman in Vancouver, WA.
He was an avid reader, crossword puzzle solver (in ink), and bowler who scored many perfect games of 300.
Walt married Sheryl “Sherri” Bochart in 1983 and together they had three children. He is survived by two sons, Josh, Brian (Bethany); two daughters, Misty and Amy; and five grandchildren, Macy, Jenna, Betsy, Jack, and Charlie Jane.
There will be a memorial service to honor Walt this Friday, Feb. 28, 2025 at 3 p.m. and reception from 4 - 5 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1101 NE 112th Ave. in Vancouver, WA.
