Walter was blessed with a loving wife, whom he met, in 1950, while driving a school bus load of high school girls on their way to an event. After a lengthy bit of courting, he later married his best friend and fellow Christian, Louise Clatterbuck Fleming of Neersville on May 16, 1953. Walter & Louise celebrated their 71st Anniversary last May. They built their forever home on Maple Avenue in Purcellville in 1957, where they raised two children. They were both long time active members at the old Purcellville Baptist Church, and most recently Hamilton Baptist Church. For many years, Walter was employed at Whitmore & Arnold in Purcellville, as the Parts Manager and in later years drove the school bus for Loudoun County Public Schools. Walter was predeceased by his wife Louise and is survived by his son Kenneth M. Fleming & his wife Becky of Round Hill; his daughter Wanda Fleming Lowe & her husband Garfield of Purcellville; his four grandchildren Tiffany Fleming Woodcheke, Andrew Fleming, Michelle Lowe and Matthew Lowe; his three great grandchildren; his two brothers Bernard Lee Fleming of Culpeper and Daniel Fleming of Lovettsville; along with numerous nieces & nephews.
