Obituary
Mr. Walter Lee Gilbert age 64, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Monday February 27, 2023 at his home. He was born on April 29, 1958 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Dewey and Maggie Jones Gilbert. He was farmer and logger, enjoyed animals, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are: his wife; Mrs. Vicki Fields Gilbert of Mt.Vernon. Two sons; Ryan Gilbert and (Mackienzie) of Livingston, and Josh Gilbert and (Stephanie) of Livingston. Two daughters; Vanessa Preston Dalton and (Ray) of Victoria, Australia, and Allison Preston and (Steve) of Lexington. Two brothers; Elmer Gilbert and (Linda) of London, KY, and Jackie Gilbert and (Betty) of Livingston. One sister; Carrie Ruth Stallsworth of Livingston. Four grandchildren; Zane & Ezra Gilbert, and Brianna, & Layla Preston also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by: one daughter; Tiffany Gilbert, and by two brothers; Mitch, Lee.
Graveside services for Mr. Walter Lee Gilbert will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday March 2, 2023 at the Gilbert Family Cemetery with Bro. Ronald Powell officiating.
