Walter King, 59, passed away on April 21, 2025.
A lifetime resident of Madison and Oglethorpe County, Mr. King was an avid outdoorsman in the local area. He could often be found on or along the Broad River, catching catfish and tent camping. He enjoyed sharing his love for the outdoors with his friends and family, and he was known for his expertise in his hobby.
Mr. King is survived by his son, David Eugene King; his sister, Jerris King Hill (Winkie) of Colbert; his brother, Josh King of Colbert; as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at Lord and Stephens Danielsville with Graveside Services to follow at Carlton Cemetery. In Walter's honor, please dress as you would to spend time with him. Camouflage, jeans, flannel, and overalls will be happily welcomed.
