Dear Ryan: I am so sorry for your loss. Chip was always so excited to share clips of you playing baseball (even if he had to sneak some of them) or posting updates about your progress through life. He also had quite an impact on my life. We met in junior high school when playing in the orchestra and band; this continued through high school. When we turned 16 years old, he encouraged me to apply for my first job (Mc Donald's - he already worked there) where I met other very important people in my life's journey. We learned the importance of synergy in the workplace and interacting with all kinds of personalities. I also learned quite a bit about myself (expected all the crew members to work hard, so I was too tyrannical). Both of us attended Penn State where he continued encouraging me to meet new people (otherwise, I would have stayed in my apartment). Of course he also talked me into some shenanigans and pranks, but that's another story. Through those years, he helped me learn to be a little more relaxed about work expectations of others (i.e.- do your best and help others if they ask). After graduation, he called me to "fill in" for a job position - this resulted in a career that lasted 14 years. Through this job I even met my husband. Chip was always good about keeping in touch, emailing, or tagging me on fb when he came across something that would interest me. I couldn't find my old photos to upload, but I attached the certificate of trees planted in his memory. God bless you and know that Chip always had your best interests in mind.
