Walt retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of dedicated service. Walt went on to work in computer sales and later as a real estate broker. From a young age, he had a passion for television and radio broadcasting, which he carried into retirement by recording books for the blind and volunteering with “Mind’s Eye,” where he also enjoyed announcing for “beep-ball,” an inclusive baseball league for the blind. Above all, Walt treasured time with his family and friends and had a deep love for his dog. He was also a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan. Walt was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Walt's name to Greater St. Louis Honor Flight or the Humane Society of Missouri.
