Walter B. "Barney" Noble III, age 69, of Burnsville, passed away on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025. A native of Seminole, Florida, he was a son of Dr. Walter B. Noble, Jr. and Joyce Canup Noble of Burnsville. He is preceded in death by his brother, David William Noble, who passed away in 2011.

Barney was a native of Seminole County, Florida, and a graduate of Seminole High School. He went on to study computer science at St. Petersburg College, laying the foundation for a life marked by curiosity, dedication, and a love of learning. After moving to Burnsville, Barney and his family became longtime members of Grace Episcopal Church, where their faith and community connections flourished.

He had a deep passion for music, which enriched his life and the lives of those around him. But above all, he was a devoted family man. He found joy in the everyday ways he cared for those he loved-making sure the cars were running smoothly, preparing breakfast each morning, and handling the countless small details that made life easier for his family. Barney was honest to a fault, steadfast in his commitments, and faithful in every sense of the word. His quiet acts of service, his love of music, and his kindness and unwavering devotion to his family will be remembered always.

In addition to his parents, Walter and Joyce, he is survived by his sister, Diana C. Noble of Burnsville, and extended family: Bob and Freida Noble of Mooresville, NC; Steve Noble of York, SC; Jeff Boggs (Sharon) of Kannapolis, NC; Matthew and John Schnedl, both of Washington, DC; Windon (Ron) Biesekner of Chesapeake, VA; and Don Blanton of Reidsville, NC, as well as several other extended family.

Memorial services will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Asheville at a later date which will be announced.
