Walter J Poroszok

Walter J. Poroszok, of Richboro, PA died peacefully at Chandler Hall on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was 79.

He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Eileen Wester Poroszok.

Born in Munich, Germany he was a son of the late Michael and Maria Harko Poroszok. The family immigrated to the Philadelphia area after World War II. Walter attended St. Ladislaus Elementary School, Cardinal Dougherty High School, and LaSalle College. He received his doctorate from Immaculata University; his thesis was "Veteran Teachers and the Supervisory Process."

Walter began his teaching career at Father Judge High School, then went on to other parochial schools in the Philadelphia Archdiocese before becoming an administrator for Willingboro Public Schools. After he obtained his Ed.D., Walter became an adjunct English professor at Bucks County Community College in Newtown. He was particularly popular with older students who were working and going to college full time.

Walter cherished being a loving and devoted husband and father. He also enjoyed the companionship of faithful friends, especially during his illness (Lymphoid Leukemia). Walter will be greatly missed, but eternally loved and remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his beloved wife Eileen, Walter is survived by his loving and devoted son Justin and Justin's wife Katherine, his sister Arlene Hair (the late Ray), numerous relatives, especially nieces and nephews, and by countless friends.

Walter's family will receive friends on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of St. Louise de Marillac at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road (at Tanyard Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will be private.
