Walter Satter Obituary
Born on May 18, 1943, in Canarsie, Brooklyn, NY, Wally was the cherished son of the late Walter E. Satter, Sr. and Mary Rose Satter. A man of deep conviction and unwavering Catholic faith, Wally was a longtime parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Community in Leesburg, where he found strength and solace in daily prayer.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Wally carried the values of honor and duty throughout his life. He was equally known for his sharp sense of humor and his dedication to his community as a Third-Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
Wally's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Deborah; his children, Stacey Pelt (Kirk), Beth-Anne Satter, and Matthew Satter (Maria); his sisters, Rosemary Myers and Joan O'Sullivan; and his beloved grandchildren, Brandon, Christian, and Albany Pelt.
Arrivederci, Papa. May you rest in eternal peace.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748 followed by a funeral mass the following day, Thursday, January 22, 2026, 8:30 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church, 1330 Sunshine Ave, Leesburg, FL 34748, rite of committal & military honors to follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, Florida.
