Walter Skrypek

WALTER SKRYPEK, age 96 passed away peacefully Thursday, November 27, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Maryann Skrypek (nee Stepka) for 60 years; loving father of Michele Screptock and Michael Skrypek (Robin); devoted grandfather of Amanda Screptock; dear brother of Johnny Borowski, Frank Skrzypek, Claire Zak, Helene Manzey, and Edward Skrzypek; Loving son of the late Vincent and Margaret Skrzypek (nee Kruk). Walt loved golfing, fishing, art, photography and travel with family. He was an avid reader and enjoyed Big Band, Sarah Vaughan and Frank Sinatra music. He enjoyed traveling especially to Carmel-by-the-Sea, California but his favorite was spending time with his family and friends. He was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Army. Walt was the co-founder and president of Falcon Advertising Art Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio from the mid 70s until his retirement in the early 90s. Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. Walt's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow at Brecksville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Walter's name to U.S. National Parks.
