My late husband, daughter, and son met Walter in the Eastern Church bowling league and fell in love with him. He was an amazing man who drew people to him naturally. I am so sorry for your lose but I know that the memories you have of him will never die. I wish that I had heard about his death earlier as I would have liked to expressed these sentiments in person. May God bless and keep you.

Dear Walter (III), I just saw where your dad passed away from the Springer Connection website. I wanted to tell you how sorry I was to hear this. I've known you for many many years and had the good fortune to meet your dad a few times in my life. We were also memers of Corinth Church at one point. Please accept my deepest sympathy!

I have lived in New Kent for 20 years, 17 of them knowing Walter. I met Walter when we worked at Colonial Downs together as he was always around to give a hand shake and tell a story. In years after seeing Walter at Colonial Downs we would see each other in passing, usually at Primas Pizza, and he never forgot to speak. Walter will be greatly missed by me as a friend and a brother mason.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad,I know he will be missed by all who knew him including my family and I. He was so good to my mom
when she was in the Nursing Home and also a friend to her. My mom was a member of Cornith for many years.
I enjoyed him when he came to visit and whenever I talked to him,

I met Walter when they were filming a TV segment for PAX TV, ( It's a Miracle) at our home, around 2001. We became friends after that and his friendship will be missed. My condolences to his family.

As a friend and neighbor when Walter lived in Bradley Acres, one example of his thoughtfulness stands out. He always stopped when he saw me out working in the yard, no matter how busy he was, to check on the family. One day he waved and blew the horn as he passed. The next day he made a special stop by and I was surprised when he knocked on the door. He wanted to appologize for no stopping the day before. He was one of the most thoughtful men I know. I have missed him since he went to the home, and will miss him now even more. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, the family, during this time.
