Walter (Sonny) Joseph Sulak Jr., 76, of Timpson, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024. He was born on June 19th, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Marie Josephine Sulak and Walter Joseph Sulak.
He is survived by four children: Kathy Sulak, Elliot Sulak, Angela Wobbe, and Alan Sulak; six grandchildren: Connor, Thomas, Ella, Braham, Zeke, and Luke.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Josephine Sulak, and his father, Walter Joseph Sulak.
He followed in his father's footsteps by pursuing a career in home appliance repair at Sears, where he retired after 29 years. Collectively, his father and he gave over 60 years of their lives working for Sears.
He was known as a car enthusiast. He built and modified many vehicles over his lifetime, all of which held a special place in his heart. He also spent much of his free time building scale replicas of cars, planes, and boats.
The legacy he leaves behind is one of enduring love. He often chose to express that love by sharing in the hobbies that his children enjoyed. Our memories of him are filled with remote controlled cars, hot rods, sports, and the occasional call for help on a dishwasher. We hope to continue his tradition of finding hobbies we can share with our kids.
A memorial service will be held on April 6th at First Baptist Church of Beasley at 11AM. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in the hall next to the church.
The family expresses their gratitude for any condolences and support during this difficult time.
