Walter Taylor, 72, of Newport, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at home.
Services will be private.
Walter was an outdoorsman who loved fishing. He enjoyed sports and watching Fox News.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sylvia Darlene Taylor; daughter, Sonya Taylor Herron; grandson, Nicholas Walter Herron; granddaughter, Krystalin N. Thetford; siblings, Jackie Taylor Norris and Marshall Wayne Taylor (Debbie Willis Taylor).
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Herbert Taylor (surviving wife, Janice Taylor), Daniel Taylor (Jane Taylor), and Katherine Taylor Turner (Paul Turner).
