Trybus, Walter J., 87, Cresson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg. Born November 16, 1937, Lilly, son of the late Wladyslaw “Walter” and Joanna (Godzisz) Trybus. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Gertrude “Trudy” (McConnell) Trybus; beloved son, Michael Trybus; grandson, Shawn; brothers, John, Frank, Louie, Stanley and Joe Trybus; and sisters, Mary Kisielnicki, Helen Esposito, Sophie Lazar, Agnes Brann and Ann Krastek. Survived by his loving daughters, Phyllis Bradley, Ebensburg; Cindy Lundberg and husband Ray, Lilly; Stella Moses and husband Mark, Amsbry; Chrissy Stone and husband George “Buddy’, Portage; and Sherry Martyak and husband Joel, Ashville; 12 grandchildren, Steven, Tricia, Tiauna, Johnathon, Heather, Justin, Alisha, Josh, Brian, Heidi, Avery and Alyssa; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Sklar, Jeanette Modey and Edrie Ann Broc. Walter worked as a foreman for Altoona Shoe and DeGol Lumber, and then worked as a driver for the Skills of Central PA. Walter was a member of the New Life Worship Center, Altoona and lived his life with strong faith, preaching and leading worship for the love of his Lord. He enjoyed going on vacation, watching Steelers games, going out to eat, making spaghetti and polish food. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family. Friends and family will be received Monday, October 13, 2025 from 4-8 p.m., Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., Altoona where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11 a.m., Rev. Wayne Schaffer, officiant. Graveside service and burial at Cresson Cemetery, Cresson.
