Walter Ashley Weldon, born on May 4, 1972, in Cordele, Georgia, passed away on March 18, 2025, at the age of 52. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his warm heart and dedication to his family.
After graduating high school, Ashley pursued a career as a truck driver, a profession he truly enjoyed. The open road became his second home, and he took great pride in the work he did, relishing the independence and sense of adventure that came with driving his truck across the country.
Ashley's love for his family was immeasurable. He had a special place in his heart for his mother, brothers, nieces, and nephews, always going out of his way to lend a hand or offer a kind word. He also shared a deep bond with his loyal dog, Levi, who brought him joy and companionship throughout the years.
His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Brenda Hightower; father, Walter Weldon; brothers, Chad Weldon (Karlyn) and Lance Weldon; nieces, Kortney Daugherty, Kirsten Colvin (Blake), Kaylee Weldon, and Zoey Weldon; and nephew, Zack Weldon.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Double Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, in Unadilla, Georgia.
