Ms. Wanda "Nanny" Anderson, age 80 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 19, 1945. She was preceded in death by her father Hiram Gunterman, mother Zelma Fergerson, daughter Anita LaRue, grandson Eric Nix, brothers, Wiggs Fergerson, Billy Denson, Albert Fergerson, sister Mary LaRue, nephew Roy LaRue.

She is survived by her son, David LaRue of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Camron LaRue, Amber LaRue; great grandchildren, Mavrick and Kingston; nieces, Ann Baxter of Dalton, GA, Becky Cloer of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Lewis Fergerson, Eugene Fergerson, Roy Fergerson of Illinois, Floyd Gunterman of Morgantown, KY, Dale Fergerson of Chatsworth, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Wanda Kaye Anderson will be held Monday January 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jeff Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
