She committed herself to the nursing profession for 40 years, where she was not just a caregiver but a source of inspiration for countless patients and colleagues. Wanda was a Guardian Angel pin recipient, and her unwavering dedication to her work and her patients illustrated her compassionate spirit and love for others.
Wanda’s legacy extends beyond her professional career. She was a vibrant light in the lives of her family and friends. Always smiling and witty, she brought joy wherever she went. Her faithfulness to God shone through in everything she did, and her hobbies reflected her nurturing nature. She found solace at the beach, where boogie boarding made her spirit soar. Wanda was exceptionally gifted in crafting and crocheting. She also enjoyed gardening, always ensuring her yard was alive with seasonal blooms.
Wanda’s family was her pride and joy. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 40 years, Ben Bryan, her three daughters Emily Harris (Chris), Lindsey Galliher (Charlie) and Rachel Adkins (Justin), and three grandchildren, Lane Harris, Cody Galliher and Colt Galliher. Wanda is also survived by her loving mother, Sybil Faircloth Norris, and her sister, Judy Harmelink (Dale), who have been sources of support and strength throughout her life. Wanda was also a proud dog mom and shared her home with two Boston Terriers, Junie and Percy. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Landon Norris, and her sister, Rhonda Norris.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on May 2, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Western Avenue Baptist Church, located at 1206 Museum Road Statesville, NC 28625, with visitation immediately following.
Wanda’s radiant spirit and loving heart will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. In every flower that blooms and every wave that crashes upon the shore, her memory will live on, reminding us of the beauty and light she brought into the world.
