Wanda Faye Cantrel, 93 of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died September 18, 2025, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born December 11, 1931, in Cincinnati, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Orval and Fanny McReynolds Fusselman. She married Alton Lloyd Cantrel, May 1, 1948, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Alton and Wanda had one son, Eugene Cantrel. She worked at the Garment Factory in Siloam Springs and then was a homemaker. Wanda was an exceptional seamstress. She was well known during haying season as one of the best cooks in the community. She baked homemade rolls and pies almost every day during haying season and at every family gathering. Hayfield hands in the community loved coming to her house to eat. Survivors include her son Eugene Cantrel and his wife Jo of Siloam Springs, granddaughters Lisa and Brian Barrett of Gravette, Arkansas, Julie and Jon Burden of Cincinnati, Arkansas, great grandkids Lacy and JC Reno of Desdemona, Texas, Paige Barrett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Col and Hallie Burden of Colcord, Oklahoma, Casey and Cooper Smith of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Cade Burden of Cincinnati, Arkansas, great-great grandkids Reece and Reid Reno, and Coy Burden. Graveside Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 11:00 a.m., at the Norwood Cemetery, South of Siloam Springs.
