Wanda Orene Catron

Wanda Orene Swango Catron, 93, widower of Hugh R. Catron, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born April 4, 1932 in Powell County to the late Taylor and Lou Ellen Dunn Swango. She was a retiree of Natural Bridge State Park. Survivors include, sons, Billy Catron, Donald (Kathy) Catron, and David Catron; daughter, Athea (Steve) Watkins; sister, Anne Townsend; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Virgil Benjamin Catron; granddaughter, April Catron; grandson, Stephen Catron; brothers, Conley Swango, Emmanuel Swango, WIlliam Swango, and Lonnie Swango; and sister Gladys Daughtery. Services Friday, September 5, 1:00PM by Bro. Marvin Hobbs, Wells Funeral Home. Visitation Friday from 10am-1pm. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery, Stanton with Billy Catron, Donnie Catron, David Catron, Steve Watkins, Bill Winburn, and Lyle Riddell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers serving, James Catron and Foothills Health and Wellness Center.
