Wanda Sue (Price) Chambers, 75, of Chuckey, TN, a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister and friend passed away surrounded by her family on October 5, 2025 at Greeneville Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Wanda was born in Washington County, VA on August 30, 1950 to Estel and Delpha (Guinn) Price. She was the 7th of 8 children and the family later moved to Piney Flats, TN where Wanda lived for most of her life. She graduated from both Mary Hughes High School and Northeast State Technical College. In 1968, Wanda married the love her life, Charles and they had two children, Christy and Daniel.
Wanda loved to sing both in church and at home; especially to her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed genealogy and got a thrill out of discovering new relatives. She spent many happy hours cataloging her extensive research.
After Wanda retired from her work as a test lab design drafter at Electrolux, she and Charles bought a beautiful old farm in Chuckey, TN and moved there. She enjoyed learning about the history of the property and watching the seasons change from the front porch.
Wanda is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years Charles, her daughter Christy Rogers (Mike), her son Daniel Chambers, her grandchildren Shaunessa "Nessa" Chambers and Evan Rogers. She also survived by her sisters, Gladys Symonds, Betty Hale and Judy Carver, along with numerous nieces and nephews, many friends and her much loved little dog, Coco.
Preceding Wanda in death are her parents, her brother RK Price and her sisters; Ruby Kirkland, Blanch Cross and Sandra Sinard.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at: Jeffers Funeral Chapel in Afton, TN. A memorial service begins immediately following at 2:00 p.m. Thoughts and memories may be shared with the family at www.jeffersmortuary.com
