Wanda Charlene Crabtree

Wanda "Charlene" Crabtree, 87 of Independence, Mo passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2022, at St. Mark Catholic Church 3600 S. Lees Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055 with private entombment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There will be a rosary recited at 10:00 a.m., Monday at the church followed by a brief visitation prior to the service at the church. Donations may be made in her name to The American Cancer Society. Charlene was born August 30, 1934, in Iola, KS to Lawrence and Alma (Harmony) Gorden and has been a longtime area resident. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed bowling, playing bunko, going to the casinos and traveling with friends. She was a very tidy homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family especially her 2 granddaughters. She was a very active and longtime member of St. Mark Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society and various other positions. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Crabtree of Independence, MO; a son, Tim Crabtree and wife Cari of Bates City, MO and 2 granddaughters, Kyra Crabtree of Kansas City, MO and Nina Crabtree of Bates City, MO.
