Wanda Daniel Obituary
The visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 1:30 PM followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church in Rock Hill, 318 N. Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Rev. Nick Vinesett and Rev. Jerry Devinney will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park-Cherry Road.
Born in Lancaster, SC, Mrs. Daniel was a daughter of the late Hugh Rutledge and the late Matilda Gaughf. She retired from Rock Hill School District after 36 years of service as an assistant teacher and IT technologist. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, WMU director, VBS director, Sunday School director, and RA leader. She enjoyed gardening, walking, spending time with her family and friends, and most of all being a Nana.
Surviving are her sons, Andy Daniel (Michelle) of Rock Hill and Mike Daniel (Stacy) of Mount Pleasant, SC; her sister Iris Robinson (Jimmy) of Lancaster, SC; and 3 grandchildren Tristen Dresner, Amanda Daniel, and Lexie Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Bill Daniel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Daniel's name to Eastside Baptist Church, 318 N. Jones Ave, Rock Hill, SC, 29730.
Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel is assisting the Daniel family and condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.

I was blessed to know Wanda during my 25 years teaching first grade at Belleview Elementary School. She was excellent at teaching students in the computer lab and at supporting us teachers as we learned to use computers.
I was also blessed to have Wanda as a dedicated prayer partner. I have continued to pray daily for her, even after I retired many years ago. She was a special person and friend.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May God bless you all.
