Wanda Yvonne Ellison

Wanda Yvonne Ellison, age 69 went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by Clinton Ellison SR., Ola M. Ellison and Brian S. Ellison.

Born in Youngstown, Ohio August 5, 1955 to Clinton and Ola M. Ellison, Wanda attended several schools in Youngstown. She was a student of Monroe Elementary; Princeton Junior High and South High School. She also attended Choffin Vocational School where she developed a love for baking and became a proficient baker.

Wanda relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1983 and moved to California in 1989. During her residency in Suisun City, California, she was employed as a dietary assistant at Kentfield Hospital where she received several awards acknowledging her services.

Upon returning to Albuquerque, she served her community as a volunteer with the American Diabetes Association’s African American Program and as a member of New Song Christian Fellowship.

Wanda leaves a son, Otis Huff III (Kiesha). and two grandsons, Quan and Logan Huff. She also leaves one sister Dr. Shirley Ellison, three brothers Clinton Ellison Jr (Sheila), Vincent Lamont Ellison, Brent Terrell Ellison and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services July 26, 2025 11:30 A.M. New Song Christian Fellowship 6013 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 with a repass to take place at 1:30 P.M..
