Wanda Jean Franklin, age 33, passed away Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, in Ardmore, Okla. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Jehovah Baptist Church, Milo, Okla., with the Reverend Ricky McGee Officiating. Services are under the direction of the family.
Wanda lovingly known as "Poobie" was born in Ardmore, Okla. on June 21, 1991, to Revere Franklin and Regina (Green) Franklin. She attended and graduated from Ardmore Schools and went on to attend college for two years. Wanda worked at Sonic and then later at Winstar Casino. Most recently she worked at the Ardmore Children's Shelter until her health forced her into an early retirement. She enjoyed going to the casino to play games and be with people. Wanda's favorite thing to do was spend time loving on her fur-baby, Bella Jean.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Arce Lee Green, paternal grandparents, Revere Frankin, Sr. and Imajean Franklin.
Wanda is survived by her parents, Revere and Regina Franklin, three sisters: Jajuana Moore and husband, Dante', Jajuana Franklin and Te-Ara Eaves. Five nephews who she loved dearly: DeAngelo, Orlando, Daylen, Ja'Coda, Elijah and, aunt, Wanda Fay Willis.
