Wanda Kitchens Hall, 92, of Owensboro, beloved wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation, Calhoun, KY. She was born November 29, 1933, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, to the late William and Irene McRoy Kitchens. Wanda graduated from Central City High School in 1950. She married Robert “Bob” Lee Hall on May 12, 1952 and was the proud mother of two sons, Brent and Steven.
Mom met Dad when his gospel quartet needed an alto singer. They were married a year later. To say she was active in her church would be a gross understatement: Missionary Society, Vacation Bible School, choir, Sunday School, and several Gospel Quartets.
Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters Jeanie and Martha.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Steve (Susan) Hall and Brent (Kaye) Hall; grandchildren, John (Ashley), Ruthie, Craig, and Brian (DeAnne); 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Beulah, Faye Nell, and Hilda (Donald); and brother Joseph (Doris Ann); along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 4314 West Fifth Street Road, Owensboro with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Field of Honor.
Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
