Wanda Jean Misso King, 85, of Thomasville, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025.

Wanda was born on January 15, 1940, in Macon, Mississippi, to the late Robert Misso and Lois Lucille Teague Misso. She retired from Joan Art Mills as a Seamstress and was known for her loving spirit, strong will, and devotion to those she loved.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia J. King, and Donna King Ansley, both of Thomasville, GA, daughter-in-law, Brenda King Hester (Jimmy) of Thomasville, GA. She was a proud grandmother to Bobby Griner (Jerri), Brandy Joslin, Jessica Winkelman (Guy), Lisa Anderson (Sean), Angie Hopkins (Jamey), Chance Ansley (Brittany), and Brian King (Kaitlin), and blessed with twelve great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings: Steve Misso (Robin), Janice Wilson (Bill), Paula Phillips (Jerry), Jimmy Misso (Marsha), Billy Misso, Donnie Wilder (Randy), Ginger Strickland, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Benjamin "Bud" King, son, Oscar Benjamin "Benjie" King, Jr., sisters, Charlotte Misso, Lucy Odom, and brother, Wayne Misso

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Keown officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
