Wanda Mesker Obituary
Wanda Faye Mesker, age 82, of Austin, Kentucky, passed away January 25, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family. She was born in Scottsville, Kentucky, to the late Lewis Shockley and the late Clara (Medley) Shockley. Faye was a lunchroom manager at Austin Tracy Elementary until she retired after 44 years. She loved going to dances, the beach, and playing bingo. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Faye is survived by her sons, Tim Mesker, Tony Mesker (Melissa); daughter-in-law, Patty Mesker; grandchildren, Whitney Wade, Riley Mesker, Amber Mesker, Zachariah Mesker, Nikolas Mesker, Clayton Mesker, Corey Mesker, and Caleb Mesker; fifteen great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Tommy Mesker and Terry Mesker; brother, Dennis Shockley.
The funeral service for Ms. Mesker will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 30th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29th, from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
