Minton, Wanda L., of House Springs, Missouri was born February 4, 1943 in Newport, Arkansas, to Clarance and Carrie (nee Summer) Talley, and entered into rest, Friday, October 25, 2024 at the age of 81 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Minton; siblings, Mary Elizabeth Talley, Homer Talley, Mckinley Talley, Roy Talley and Magadline Henson.
She is survived by her two children, Everet A. (Kim) Minton and Liz Middelkamp; four grandchildren, Jordan (Cherrika) Minton, Willis (Lena) Minton, Kelsey Middelkamp and Brady Middelkamp; two great grandchildren, Marcie Ann Minton and Elijah Everet Minton; three siblings, John Talley, Bill Talley and Pauline Wheaton; along with many other family and friends.
Wanda dedicated 24 years to teaching at Maple Grove Elementary, touching countless young lives with her warmth, patience, and passion for learning. A true woman of faith, her love for Christian values shone through in all that she did, both in her career and personal life. Outside of the classroom, Wanda shared her gift of music as a country and gospel singer, filling hearts with joy through her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. Her love for crossword puzzles reflected her sharp mind, but her greatest joy was her beloved grandchildren, to whom she gave boundless love and attention. Wanda's legacy of kindness, faith, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. A graveside service will immediately follow the memorial visitation at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
