Wanda D Norris

Wanda (Harris) Norris, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in Mansfield, Texas. Born on May 17, 1940, in Corsicana, Texas, to Johnny and Vestal (Cagle) Harris, Wanda's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family.
Wanda's journey began in the heart of Texas, where she was raised with the values of compassion and generosity that would define her life. She met and married the love of her life, Ronald Wayne Norris, and together they built a family founded on the principles of care and support. Their union was blessed with children, and although predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years and their son John Michael Norris, Wanda's legacy continues through her devoted daughter Becky Hayslip and her husband Danny.
Wanda's role as a homemaker was her pride and joy. She poured her heart into raising her family, creating a home filled with laughter and love. Her grandchildren, Garrett Hayslip and Alyssa Whitlock, along with her husband Bryce, and great-grandson Hayes Whitlock, were the lights of her life. Wanda's nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the cornerstones that helped shape their lives.
Her love for her hometown of Corsicana never waned, and her passion for the Texas A&M Aggies was infectious. Wanda and Ron shared a love for travel, embarking on countless road trips across the United States, each adventure adding to their treasure trove of memories.
Wanda was a woman of many interests, but it was her loving nature that made her truly remarkable. She was the kind of person who made friends everywhere she went, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her brother, Raymond Harris, and sister, Betty Nell Gorman, who predeceased her, would no doubt be proud of the legacy she leaves behind.
Wanda's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of joy, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her family, including her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandson, and a host of friends and relatives who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her grace and warmth.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana
