Wanda "Sharron" Pierce, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

To know Sharron was to be cared for, included, and loved. She opened her home and her heart to everyone who needed a place to belong - fostering more than seventy children(many who still call her Mom) and adopting eight. Her love knew no limits, and her greatest joy was her family.

She was an old soul with a gentle spirit and a heart that welcomed everyone. She met the love of her life, David Pierce, and together they built a big, beautiful blended family. Through every joy and hardship, their love remained constant - a true partnership grounded in faith, patience, and grace.

Her favorite pastimes were going to bingo and playing cards with her husband, brother and sister-in-law, and spending hours talking on the phone to her sisters and granddaughters. She was rarely on time but always worth waiting for, and she believed that family was life's greatest blessing.

Sharron was preceded in death by her sons Kevin and David Allen (and Davy's wife, Melissa), Devin Pierce, and Ivan Pierce; her mother Juanita Mae Streble and her stepbrother Tommy Tinsley(Dana).

She is survived by her loving husband, David Pierce, and her children: Timmy Allen, Erin Harper (Aaron), Jason Pierce, Allen Pierce (Courtney), Frankie Pierce (Jamie), Brett Pierce, Timmy Pierce (Heather), Randy Pierce, Jodie Pierce, and Kaleb Pierce.

She is also survived by her Daddy Roy Streble, siblings Yvonne Denner (Bob), Debbie Crume (Mike), Roy Streble (Mona), Paul Streble, and Carolyn Richerson (Ricky); her stepsister Marquetta Antognetti ; Grandchildren include Brian(Matt),Josh, Erika(Joee), Anthony, Justin, Kristy Lee(Anthony), Nicholas, Leland, Devin, Weslee(Sophia), Grayson, Jake, Hunter, Casey, Drew, Sadie, Colton, Ella Mae, Shyna, Lil Devin, Lily, Stanley, Vinny, Rose, Roni, and Josiah; Great-Grandchildren include Emma, Aubrey, Memphis, Maci, Casen, Weston, Addison, Abigail, Jayden, Kylie, Lacy, Ella Rose, Ava, Piper, Olivia, Elliott, Salem Rose, Isabella, Bear, Lainee-Ann, Daisy, Gracie, JJ, and Braylen and many nieces, nephews, friends and countless others who were blessed to be loved by her.

Sharron's legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely - in the families she built, the lives she touched, and the memories she created. Those who knew her will carry her spirit in their hearts forever, grateful to have been loved by her.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy Shepherdsville, KY 40165) from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of the service. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 12:00 pm in the chapel. Entombment will follow at Hebron Cemetery.

Sharron had a profound impact on my life and the lives of so many others. From the moment I moved right next door around 1994, she extended a warmth and genuine embrace that truly made me feel welcome. Not only did she welcome me, but she also opened her heart to my children and every child who crossed her path, creating a sense of belonging for everyone. As she fostered and adopted many children.
Our daily conversations became a comforting ritual, a source of quiet companionship and shared laughter.  Occasionally I would go to bingo with her and David. Sharron truly possessed the most gentle and compassionate soul; I cannot recall a single instance where she spoke a negative word about anyone. Her non-judgmental nature was a rare gift, making her a safe haven for all who knew her. She was, without a doubt, the epitome of kindness and an ever-welcoming presence.
The countless cherished memories I hold of Sharron will forever be etched in my heart. Each recollection brings a gentle smile and a profound sense of gratitude for the blessing of her friendship. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and quiet strength that will resonate deeply within her family and friends. Her absence will be felt immensely by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her beautiful spirit will continue to inspire us.
My heart is truly heavy for David, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her siblings, her father and the many friends she had. May God give you all peace, comfort and strength in the days ahead.
PS all the years I have been friends with Sharron, I always spelled her name with one "R".
