Wanda Sue "Grammy" Putman, 79, of Clayton, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2024 surrounded by loving family members.  She was born on February 25, 1945 in London, KY.  Sue was a loving mother and a dedicated homemaker.  She was a member of the Clayton Christian Church, Tri Kappa, PO-KE-NO Club and the Red Hat Society.  Sue was an avid sports fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Pacers, Purdue, Indiana Fever, Wabash football, golf and curling.  She loved spending time with her family.  Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Zelma Downs; and brothers, Oscar, Ronnie and Donnie Lickliter.  Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Clayton Christian Church (5110 IN-39, Clayton, IN 46118) at 11:00 am, with calling one hour before the service. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Rachel (Russell) Johnson; bonus grandson, Braden Potters and his girlfriend Karyssa Miller; the Miller Family; son, Dennis (Julie) Putman; sisters-in-law, Roxie Ash and Paula Lickliter; nieces, Sherry (Walter) Sears, Kathy (Tim) Hunt, and Kerrin (Karl) Szewc; nephews, Ronnie Lickliter, Wayne (Deneen) Ash, Rick (Beth) Ash and Mark Lickliter; soul sisters, Irene Johnson and Lisa Johnson; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; many great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
