Wanda J. Redmon

1938 - 2021

Wanda J. Redmon, 82, of Bardstown, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, in Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Dec. 28, 1938, in Poland to Roman and Teresa Petko Jajuga. Wanda loved to collect antique glassware, was a longtime member of Tops 262, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bernard Redmon Jr.; a son, James Edward Redmon; a brother, Richard Jajuga; and a sister, Mary Jajuga.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Gary Ruth) Redmon, of Boston; two sons, Joseph B. (Geneva) Redmon and David P. Redmon, both of Bardstown; a sister, Adella Holliday, of Leesburg, Fla.; three brothers, Stanley Jajuga, of Brockville Ohio, John Jajuga, of Dayton, and Michael Jajuga, of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral. The Rev. Terry Bradshaw will celebrate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home.
A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home.
