Wanda M. Brown Vaught Reeds passed away October 25, 2024, at The Villages of Jackson Creek in Independence, MO. She was born July 16, 1927, in New Franklin, MO, to Hubert and Hilda Newmann Brown.
She loved to perform with the Encore Theater as she received so much joy from dancing. She was friendly, outgoing and never met a stranger.
Wanda had a variety of jobs - including plucking chickens, tending bar, supervising jurors who sat for trial, and soldering circuit boards at Harmon Industries.
She is survived by her children: Barbara Adkison, Bob Vaught, Carol Wright, David Vaught and Lisa and Michael Sublette; half-brother and his wife, Hugh and Joy Brown; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Hilda Brown; brothers and their spouses: Jack and Esther Brown, Pete and Vivian Brown; grandson, Tony Curtis; and her sons-in-law: Clyde Adkison, Marvin Wright, Richard Curtis and Todd Ash.
Her ashes will be interred with her mother at Crownhill Cemetery in Sedalia, MO.
