Wanda Robinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home on Dec. 19, 2025.
Wanda Denise Lindsey-Robinson was born in Pensacola, Florida,
to the Late Ernest L. Lindsey, Sr and Annie Mae Lindsey on February 11, 1962.
She attended N.B. Cook Elementary School for her primary years, then on to A.V. Clubbs Middle School, and finally graduated from Pensacola High School. While she was in high school, she was a member of the Color Guard and Band. She loved music and traveled to many places, sharing the joy of music while playing her clarinet.
Wanda attended Mt Olive Baptist Church in her earlier years, but was very close to her big brother. As a result, through his ministry, she soon gave her heart to Jesus Christ and received the Word of God through prayer and his teachings of Jesus. She often called him, and they would share the goodness of the Lord, and she'd receive the Word of God through his ministry for hours on end. "...rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven" (St. Luke 10:20)
All of her life, she was a joyful, loving, and giving person. Everyone that came around her was soon affected by her contagious smile and laughter. She always found herself being a blessing to others in many ways. To this extent, her career reflected her lifelong passion of helping others. Her job was her ministry. Over the years, she exercised her gift in serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Northview Community in Pensacola, Florida. After this, she continued to facilitate life-changing programs and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at ARC Gateway. From there, she was employed by the J. E. Hall Center as a Teacher's Aide at Spensor Bibbs Elementary School in the Escambia County School Systems. There, she helped with a wide range of academic programs from elementary to high school levels. She was well-loved and cherished the lives of children she impacted at Workman Elementary School until her retirement.
She loved to cook and bake goodies and was affectionately known as "The Cake Lady." Her pound and red velvet cakes were loved by all!
She leaves to cherish her memories: Two sons, Jeremy Hamilton and Chris Lindsey both of Pensacola, FL; Three brothers, Ernest L. Lindsey, II, (Josephine) (Andalusia, AL); Alfred Lindsey, (Atlanta, Ga); Larry Lindsey (Houston, TX); Several grandchildren; Juliana, Zaylen & Zoie; One Great Grand Son; Javari; Four nieces; Aquanita, Tara, Stacey & Miriam Hutcherson (Christopher); Three nephews; Desean, Phillip & Timothy (Le'Keisha); One Aunt; Bernice Nix and One Uncle, James Nix and a host of loving cousins and friends.

My deepest condolences to the entire family during this difficult time. Weeping may endure at night, but joy cometh in the morning. Wanda had the kindest spirit and the warmest, most affectionate laugh. She will be deeply missed.
