Julia Gilley passed away in Milton, FL, on February 14, 2026, at the age of 87 peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
She was born on December 23, 1938, in Milton, FL, and attended Pensacola High School. After graduation, she had a successful 39-year career with Air Products and Chemical company. In retirement, she was a devoted caretaker of her parents, Sion and Dorothy Gilley, in their late years.
Julia was known to all as a kind, gentle and spiritual soul. She was a talented baker and art collector. She is survived by her sisters, Doris Wolfe DuMars (Roger) of Mobile, and Audrey Melvin (Jim) of Milton. She also has two nephews, with whom she always enjoyed a close relationship - Rolf Cooke of St Peters, MO, and Casey Wolfe of Washington, DC, and their families.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Serenity Gardens, 6208 Stewart Street, Milton, Florida 32570, at 1:30 pm.

The family wishes to thank People's Hospice for the loving care they provided for Julia and her family, with particular gratitude to Tracey, her special nurse.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in Julia's name to Shriners Children's Hospital.
