Wanda Vassaur Thomas

Wanda Leigh Vassaur Thomas, age 86, of Pine Bluff, passed away, Monday, June 2, 2025.
She was born July 8, 1938 in Altheimer, Arkansas, as the youngest of six children of John H. Vassaur and Daisy Mae Farnam Vassaur. Her brothers were Arden Vassaur and John L. Vassaur, and her sisters were Bonnie Walter, Willene Parker and Doris Vassaur, all of whom preceded her in death. Her loving husband, Paul M. Thomas, died August 17, 1995.
Wanda graduated from Altheimer High School in 1956. After high school, she worked for USA Drugs and Area Agency on Aging. However, raising her children was her number one job and passion.
She was a charter member of East Side Baptist Church; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was also known to have never met a stranger.
Wanda is survived by her three loving sons, Marshall Thomas and wife Kathy, Jeff Thomas and wife Glenna, and Paul Thomas II and wife Crystal; her loving daughter, Leigha Beckham and husband Derwood; a step-daughter she loved dearly, Paula Reynolds and husband Troy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family & friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 5th, 2025, 2:00p.m., in the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors, 807 South Cherry Street., Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71601.
The family will receive guests prior to services starting at 1:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery.
