Wanda Ward, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 74, due to complications from pneumonia.
Wanda was born on November 7, 1950, in Dallas, Oregon, to James Jacob Coonrod and Francis Pearl Coonrod (née Chastain). The youngest of thirteen siblings, Wanda grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She is survived by her siblings Elmer Coonrod, Geneva Owsley, Kenneth Coonrod, and Glen Coonrod.
On February 25, 1978, Wanda married the love of her life, Donald Ward, at Fort Lewis, Washington. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and family. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Donald; her son, James St. Clair, and his wife Tracie; and her cherished grandchildren: Morgan Jacobs-Lichtenstein, Rachel St. Clair, Jake St. Clair, and Zach St. Clair.
Wanda will be remembered for her kind heart, her deep love for her family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and resilience.
A private memorial service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Wanda's memory to a charity of your choice.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
