Wanda E. Weyand

Wanda E. Weyand, 67, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, surrounded by family at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born on February 6, 1959, in Lindsborg, KS, the daughter of Wayne B. and Leona M. (Jacobson) Whited. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1977. On July 30, 1977, Wanda was united in marriage to Robert Lee Weyand in McPherson. This union was blessed with two children, Catherin and Christopher.

Wanda retired after 29 years as a rural mail carrier for McPherson Post Office. She loved the outdoors and the solitude of her job. Prior to being a rural mail carrier, she worked in the Dillons Bakery.

She was a member of NRLCA (National Rural Letter Carriers Association).

Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bob of the home; two children, Catherin Farrow (Daniel) of Henryetta, OK and Christopher Weyand (Alex) of Elizabeth, CO; three grandchildren, Avery Weyand, Carly Weyand, and Daniel Farrow, Jr.; siblings, Gary Whited (Arnell) of Hutchinson, KS and Ron Whited (Carolyn) of Grifton, NC; step-brothers, Mike Bratcher (Lou Rice) of Houston, TX, Kent Bratcher (Rhonda) of Yukon, OK, and Gary Bratcher (Donna) of Dallas, TX; father-in-law & mother-in-law, LaVern & Virginia Weyand of McPherson, KS; and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Whited, and mother & step-father, Leona & Ray Bratcher.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Eaton officiating.
