Ward Carr, 80, of San Angelo went to be with our Lord on Friday, December 19, 2025., at his home.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2025, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Msgn. Larry Droll, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Carr was born on April 23, 1945 to Eula and Karl Carr of Hamburg, Iowa. Ward attended high school in Glenwood, Iowa, where he met the love of his life, Bonnie Lukowski. They married on May 22, 1965. To this union were born three children. Ward enlisted in the Iowa National Guard and was also employed as a Plant Controller at Swift Packing Co. in Glenwood, Iowa. The family was transferred to many different parts of the country throughout his career.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Carr of the home; and children, Tara Schwartz and husband Paul of Garden City, Todd Carr and wife Cathy of Van Meter, Iowa; and Tony Carr and wife Bridgett of San Angelo; and seven grandchildren and spouses and eight great grandchildren, Marissia, (Ryan and Wyatt Barnett), Macy (Travis and Berkley, Owen and Liam Stovall) Lauren (Trevor and Kase, Samson Hahn), Christin (Nadim and Zayd, Rynlee Delahmet), Tanner Carr, Beau Carr and Bryce Carr.
Pallbearers will be Paul Schwartz, Beau Carr, Bryce Carr, Ryan Barnett, Travis Stovall and Trevor Hahn.
Memorials can be made to Children's Miracle Network, 120 E. Harris Ave., San Angelo, Texas 76903, St. Jude's, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38150, or a favorite charity.
