Ward Wells, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord on June 6, 2024. 


Ward was a member of Westport Road Baptist Church where he was a member of the chorus. Ward graduated with a Masters in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of the square dancing team with his wife, Anita Wells. Spreading God's word was a calling in their marriage, so they owned Christian Book Store for many years. Ward enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, reading gospel books, and golfing in his free time.


Ward is survived by his wife, Anita Wells; his children, Jennifer Maricle (Randy), and Stephanie Talbot (Brian); his siblings, Cary Boswell (Charlie) and Joel Wells (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Cameron Talbot (Eden), Donovan Talbot (Genesis),  Aarin Talbot, and Molly Maricle; and his great-grandchildren, Lyanna Talbot and Misa Talbot.  


Visitation will be on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes East, 11601 Ballardsville Road.  A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Westport Road Baptist Church, 9705 Westport Road. Interment will immediately follow the service at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery East.
