Louise Inman

Anna Louise Inman, 79, passed away August 11, 2025, with her family by her side.

Louise was born May 22, 1946, to Louis Sr. and Camilla Nadorff in Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents (Louis Nadorff Sr. and Camilla Buckler), her Stepfather (John Buckler), and her grandparents (Grant and Alena Allen).

Louise is survived by her husband of 60 years, Claude Thomas Inman, Jr. In addition, she is survived by her children, Marc Inman (Teresa), Stacey Inman (Christopher), two grandchildren, Michael and Nina, as well as her sister (Pamela Cruz), sister in-law (Sue Taylor) and many nieces.

Louise wanted to be a nurse since she was seven years old and even after becoming an attorney, she dedicated her career to nursing. She graduated from Jefferson Community College with an Associate in Nursing in 1970. Having attended the University of Louisville, she graduated with Honors with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1979; a Master of Science in Nursing in 1982; and a Juris Doctorate in 1989.

She was a Nursing House Manager for Humana University of Louisville; Director of Nursing for Frazier Rehabilitation Center; Director of Nursing for Children’s Treatment Service; and Adjunct Faculty at University of Louisville. She loved teaching psychiatric nursing clinicals and helping future nurses develop their professional skills. She was treasured by her students. She also had a passion for helping the troubled youth of Kentucky and worked in that capacity for Kentucky state government for over thirty years. She retired at the age of 71 from Kentucky’s Department of Juvenile Justice where she served as the Nurse Administrator supervising all the department nurses in Kentucky. She twice received the Department of Juvenile Justice Employee of the Year award. Louise was in the nursing honorary society, Sigma Theta Tau. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a Jackson General, and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Louise married her high school sweetheart, “Tommy” Inman, on January 29, 1965. They were each other’s lifelong companions and were blessed with two children, Marc and Stacey. Louise loved travel - especially cruises and foreign locations, shopping, cooking, and animals - especially her Scottie dogs. She was an avid reader, greatly enjoyed her potted flowers and was devoted to her family.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East

Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location

Louise will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and dedicated nurse. She was known for her fiery spirit and was strong-willed and tenacious. She also had a loving nature and her kindness will be missed, but will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
