Ruth "Arlene" Joyce

Ruth “Arlene” Joyce, 85, of LaGrange, Kentucky, passed away on March 12, 2026.

Arlene was born on August 21, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Raphael and Ruth Zimmerman.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Joyce, and her children: Linda Simpson (David), Stephen Joyce, Susan Walker (Alan), Christin Miller (Alan), and Alicia Doligale (Bob).

Arlene was blessed with many grandchildren: Jake (Hallie), Luke, Joseph (Caroline), and Leah Simpson; Chris (Laura) and Whitney Walker; Hannah (Trent) Fiene; Logan and Nate Miller; and Hailey (Levi) Lake; and Kellie (Jim), Jack, Carly, and Thomas Doligale.

She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren: Teddy Lake, Oliver Alan Fiene, Evelyn and Poppy Doligale, and Baby Boy Simpson, who will be joining the family in July 2026.

Arlene loved children, crafting, and sewing, and she had a great love for animals. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was known as the most loving, kind, and patient mother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Louisville Memorial Gardens East from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held again on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with burial immediately afterward at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
