Warren Harvey Carroll, 75, of Westford, MA, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Bridges by Epoch in Westford.
He was married to the late Delores (Hall) Carroll who passed away on April 1, 2005 in Green Valley, AZ.
Born in Baltimore, MD, Warren was the beloved son of H. Clifford Carroll and Katherine (Skehan) Carroll. The family had lived in several places including 3 years in Caracas Venezuela. He had many stories about living there, although he wouldn't want to be there now.
Warren is a graduate of Metropolitan Community College in MN with an associate's degree.
He worked for many years at Avis Car Rental of Minneapolis, MN and eventually transferred to the Tucson, AZ location from which he retired.
He was a member of Grace Community Church in Chelmsford, MA and enjoyed participating in Reload, the men's early morning Bible Study.
Warren was quite outgoing, enjoyed being with people, and was generally very gentle and kind. He was a lover of trains, being an enthusiastic participant in railroad groups especially in the Minneapolis and Tucson areas. He loved old sitcoms from the 50's and 60's, and slapstick comedy. He had an extensive collection of books, videos, DVDs and cassettes of all of these and was generous about giving them away to others who enjoyed them.
Warren is survived by his brother John and John's wife Frances Carroll of Westford, MA, and his sister Martha A. Carroll of Santa Fe, NM; his nieces Rev. Dr. Ruth Carroll and her husband Dr. Keith Battarbee of Stevenage, England; Katherine Carroll of Lowell, MA; and Marisa Carroll and her son Uriel of Santa Fe, NM; his nephews John Carroll, his wife Rita, and their children Jacob and Lia of Deer Park, IL; as well as Dr. Samuel Carroll, his wife Joanne and their children Nathan and Naomi of Urbana, IL; several cousins and good friends.
A memorial service will be held later in the year.
