Warren Edward Carson, Jr., beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on July 15, 2025, at Autumn Care of Marion. He was born on December 25, 1939, in McDowell County.
Warren enjoyed a successful career as a truck driver for Coca Cola, known for his strong work ethic and his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to others. His dedication to his job reflected his overall approach to life; he took pride in his work, but it was his role as a loving father and grandfather that he cherished the most.
As a sports enthusiast, Warren had a particular passion for baseball and was a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves. His enthusiasm for the game brought joy not only to himself but also to those around him, as he often shared his love for sports with family and friends.
Warren leaves behind his daughter, Juanita Young, and son, Michael Carson, along with his cherished sister, Mary Jean Jones. He was a proud grandfather to Gregory Conley Jr., Alan Conley Sr., Ashley Young, Tyler Corpening, Michael Carson Jr., and Monica Madison. In addition, Warren was a loving great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren, who will surely carry his legacy forward.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Carson, as well as his father, Warren Edward Carson Sr., and his mother, Lillian Logan.
Warren's spirit and strength will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him. His remarkable dedication to family and friends will remain in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at McDowell Memorial Park.
