It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of Warren Fletcher Jr., age 71, of Cleveland, Ohio. Warren peacefully passed away in the early hours of October 2, 2025, at Altercare of Canal Winchester.

He is preceded in death by his father Warren Fletcher Sr, mother Josie Ree Fletcher and sister Hattie Catherine Fletcher.

Warren was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 10, 1953, to Warren Fletcher Sr. and Josie Ree Fletcher. He was their youngest child and only son.

Warren is survived by his loving sister Mary Lee Fletcher. Though he had no children of his own, he leaves to mourn his beloved family: his niece Cathy Maria Fletcher; nephews Warren Fletcher III, Kenneth Everett Fletcher, and Antonio David Fletcher; niece-in-law Adrianne Shuntae Fletcher; and great-nephew Landon Emmanuel Dade.

Warren attended Gladstone Elementary, Patrick Henry Junior High, and Glenville High School. In his early twenties, he gave his life to God and became a member of Morning Star Baptist Church on St. Clair Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. He later became employed by the same church and went on to partner with other local congregations, volunteering and serving his community with dedication and humility.

Warren also worked for many years at the renowned Union Club in downtown Cleveland, holding multiple positions. Later, he continued his service to others through his work at Victory Lunch, a beloved neighborhood eatery on 79th and St. Clair, where he spent over a decade. There, he became a familiar face and was known and respected by many.

Warren truly had a servant's heart. He cared deeply for his family, demonstrated unwavering love and thoughtfulness, and carried himself with a strong, masculine presence that commanded respect. He had a heart of gold, coupled with the firmness and guidance his loved ones both needed and cherished.

A phenomenal artist, Warren could create astonishing works using nothing more than a No. 2 pencil, a piece of paper, and a balled-up tissue. Warren had a deep love for sports, especially the Cleveland professional sports teams; with the Cleveland Browns being number 1 and the Indians being a very close second. His favorite pastimes included drawing, fishing, studying nature and National Geographics, watching Bruce Lee and classic Western films, reading the Bible and we can't forget his love for dogs.

After suffering a massive stroke in 2012 that left the left side of his body paralyzed, Warren spent the last 13 years of his life in a nursing home setting. Yet, he never allowed his condition to break his spirit. He persevered with grace, demonstrating remarkable strength, courage, and resilience.

Warren was a teacher, uncle, brother, son, friend, and protector. He loved his family deeply and never valued money over time spent with them. He was always there when needed - giving his all until he took his final breath.

Romans 8:18
"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us."
